The Nature and Meaning of the Lord’s Supper (Part 2 of 2)

The Bible is clear that Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross was sufficient for the forgiveness of the sins for all who believe in Him—one sacrifice for all sins, for all time. So what’s the purpose of Communion?

Habits of Grace: Enjoying Jesus through the Spiritual Disciplines

Habits of Grace: Enjoying Jesus through the Spiritual Disciplines

Start your year off exploring the spiritual disciplines. The everyday routine habits of Bible reading, prayer, and fellowship are the pipeline through which God's love and power flow—including the greatest joy of all: knowing and enjoying Jesus. Habits of Grace presents these three categories of spiritual disciplines as "means of grace" that strengthen your daily life as a believer. When you read the book, you’ll learn practical and accessible tips for creating sustainable lifelong habits. These habits can be adjusted based on the season of life you’re in so that the spiritual disciplines become a joy rather than a duty. This jam-packed book will encourage you to sit under faithful preaching, consider baptism, partake of Communion, and seek support from your church community—all parts of a thriving Christian life.

About Truth For Life

At Truth For Life, we believe and teach the Gospel: that God created men and women in His image to live in relationship with Him. Yet all people have rebelled against God and rejected that relationship. But God, in His mercy, sent His Son, Jesus Christ to die on the cross to bear the consequences of our sins and to restore us to a right relationship with God. We desire that unbelieving men and women would hear and believe this message. If you would like to learn more about this message, read how to become a follower of Christ.

The Bible teaches that the Christian life is one of ongoing growth as we become more like Christ. It is our desire that the preaching on Truth For Life would assist believers in their understanding of Scripture and the responsibilities of Christian living.

The local church is a primary means through which discipleship occurs in a Christian's life. The sermons and materials we offer are meant to supplement, not substitute, the regular preaching of the Word that exists in the local church. We encourage listeners to be active members in their local church and to commit financially in support of them before considering giving to our ministry.
